Do the cables from high voltage power lines give off EMFs?


electro-magnetic force (emf) given off cable or conductor has current going through it. higher current, higher emf. others have stated, there emf in air @ times, generated many different things. problem is, amount of current in wires not create high of emf. radio waves , cell phone signals emf, not high amount should worry about. people have held fluorescent tubes near power lines , emf enough ignite gasses in tube , make them light up.

if power line cables near have high current going through them, worried. now, try stay out of apartment as possible , start looking place. if have friend taking physics in class, see if can hands on emf meter physics lab can measure amount.

luck (and keep grounded).

or actual pylons give off emfs? because if it's cable i'm @ same high , 3 meters away cables, worrying.
