How can a complete beginner learn to draw PEOPLE?


don't tell me use youtube. no anime/manga books, or cartoons. want master how draw people, can draw see, realistically.you know when go amusement park , artist sits down & draws amazing portrait in 15 minutes? that. i've had ambition since younger after having sketch me. however, i'm left brained (home-schooled 16 y/o) , can't afford art classes. fantastic books can use? materials need started? if practice hour everyday master in few years? advice , constructive criticism appreciated.
