How good are logitech speakers? how do they compare to top brands?

own klipsch promedia , logitech z623.

first set of klipsch had buzzing driver in 1 of sats. took set straight best buy , got another. set lasted 2-months before developing loud hiss in amplifier. live in apartment , did not abuse them. never played them loud more few seconds , never turned them point started sound distorted.

klipsch sitting on floor here because i'm lazy find box , send them in service , doubt they'd work long after being repaired anyway. stores sell promedia anymore amazon , best buy. it's due reliability problems. i've noticed several stores sell rest of klipsch line, no promedias.

bought logitech z623 few months ago. sound klipsch. there's bit of thick spot in upper mids or lower treble because sats use single driver no tweeter. but, think sound fine , i'm pretty picky. may have bit more bass klipsch. they're close loud, maybe not quite. feel comfortable recommending logitech on klipsch because they're more reliable , sound pretty close.

klipsch aren't perfect either. there seems bit of "hole" in frequency response between woofer , tweeter , mids can sound on lean side sometimes.

i want buy nice quality speakers sound without paying hundreds of dollars. can way logitechs? or should klipsch promedia 2.1?
