Is it normal for cable clutches to make a noise when depressed?


try lubricant (silicone spray good) on pivot point cable attaches clutch pedal. that's place keep lubricated anyway. neglected pivot point in mitsubishi many years ago , cable flexed broke @ pedal.

i own 1999 honda hr-v sport that's done more 180,000 ks, fair bit!
today noticed when clutch being depressed (pushed in) little squeaky noise can heard! normal car uses cable clutch instead of hydraulic clutch?
suggestions?
