have been dating boyfriend 4 months (5 in week) , wanted him christmas. @ first didn't know him considering don't know 17 year old enjoy until gave , confronted him it. wanted band jacket. didn't have birthday money left after buying family christmas presents, , i'm 15 job wasn't option . anyways had use if emergency cash( if straightener broke, new head phones, etc.) buy him something. anyways couldn't shop online because parents know bought guy, , well.. i'm not allowed date. decided tell dad secret santa friends , had got best guy friend. anyways boyfriend suppose me both had told each other wanted. day came give him gift , had not gotten me anything. didn't feel disappointed because know isn't doing economically. admitted couldn't me anything, didn't mind because wanted gift express cared him. problem since wasted every cent had left on present , didn't in return dad complaining why bought expensive gift didn't give me in return , why don't care. question is, there can make received gift in return? show him old shirt hasn't seen before? or show old gift card of sort? apologize question complicated understand.
