How Do I Update My ITouch 3rd Gen?


have 2nd gen. let me guess, think have 3rd gen 8gb ipod touch? nope. that's 2nd gen. there never 3rd gen 8gb, 32gb & 64gb.
itunes correct when says 4.2.1 latest & in case well, last.

i have itouch 3rd gen, , on ios 4.2.1! apps, temple run , ifunny, require ios 4.3. when go update on itunes, says 'this version of ipod software (4.2.1) current version. there anyway can update ipod? please help!!!
