Who will win the Australian Open 2013?


it's difficult predict win first grand slam of season. never know how players have worked during off season or how prepared are.

men's i'd slight favorite novak djokovic based on record @ australian open , fact 2 time defending champion. alone put pressure on him, has dealt pressure in past several years. surface suits him lot, likes slow hard courts , doesn't have issues heat, plus later rounds played either indoors or @ evenings.

other novak, see federer or murray winning it. federer tough match novak, should play in melbourne, advantage in novak's favor considering have played twice here , novak won on both occasions in straight sets. federer 4 times champion here , murray has played final twice.

ladies, realistically, if serena healthy , in right state of mind, she's top favorite. showed last year when plays best, top 5 players can't win more few games. however, start of year , should cautious injuries(she inured ankle last year in brisbane , injured during ao). has won event 5 times , has had other successful results here, putting top favorite. also, motivator serena winning australian open, automatically number 1 again!

2nd favorite has azarenka. she's defending champion , has had consistent results in melbourne(she lost serena in 2008, 2009 , 2010). loves slow hard courts , last year 12-0 in australia. 3rd favorite maria sharapova tough competitor , champion. reached final here last year , had final in 2007. won event in 2008 , had 2 more semifinals. likes slow hard vika , when has day can beat anyone.
