How do you get to Carlos bakery from manhattan (from grand central station)?

carlo's bakery in hoboken (the 1 shown on tv show):

grand central (42nd st & park av) have go 33rd st & 6th av/broadway path train.

can walk (takes 20 minutes) - walk along e 42nd st 5th av (where big public library building is.) make left onto 5th av , walk down (in same direction car traffic) 32nd st. make right on 32nd st (cross on 5th av) , walk once block 6th av/broadway. can enter path via stairs street before manhattan mall or go manhattan mall , go down 1 level in jc penney.

[it easier walk down 5th av 32nd st walk down 6th av 42nd st 32nd st. pedestrian traffic flows better on 5th av on 6th av (it makes no sense it true).]

if don't want walk, take subway - take 42nd st shuttle (s) times square , transfer downtown n, q, or r train 1 stop 34th st. @ 34th st use stairs @ front of platform, exit thru turnstiles , make qucik right , go down stairs path system.

path - take hoboken train (on track 3) hoboken. @ hoboken use stairs mid platform , exit street. once on teh street walk away ferry terminal couple of blocks washington st, make right on washington , walk 1 block carlo's bakery (95 washington st).

subway fare $2.50 if buy single fare ticket metrocard vending machine or $2.25 if buy metrocard $4.50 or more machine or booth.

path fare $2.25 whether buy path single fare ticket path vending machine (in station) or metrocard machine.

[the nyc subway , path systems separate there no free transfers between them]

don't consider take taxi. cost close $40 each way (you going out-of-town fare higher , have cover tolls).

my friend , going take trip ny ourselves, 16. i'm okay direction , been ny many times know how streets work. can take taxi? or subway or train? specific directions great :)
