What amp size do I need to power (2) 12" 40w 8ohms speakers in my car?


have set of sansui 12" subs came out of pair of sansui sp-200 in-home bookshelf speakers. each sub 8 ohms , 40w. not bright when comes audio equiptment. can me? wanting use either mono amp or 2 channel amp, don't know wattage , ohms load for. please answer if i'm 12, , in words can understand please. lol.
