Drywall compound which does not crack?


had bathroom remodeled. first day, tear out , helped. next day @ work , came home - holy cow looked people putting board drunk. miss-measuring , that, big holes cut light or switch , got wrong, flipped board on , reused , still getting wrong. nail holes down wall looked machine gun after looked stud. corners not close @ all. called , complained. take days fill mess , let patches dry.

however, daughter here , drywallers showed next day 1 , 1/2 hours says. filled in , next day came finish up.

heck did use? if use compound lowes never did... unless buying wrong stuff.
