Looking for warm American resort town?


love feel of gatlinburg, estes park , similar mountain tourist towns. wisconsin dells. have small downtown mix of normal stores , tourist traps (rocks sale, local foods) , not lot of chain stores or fast food chains. small enough walk , full of other out of towners. small bars , restaurants, , hotels close action. have reason existence, mountains , skiing, water parks, etc , have things mini golf, or ripley's museums.

looking similar atmosphere in more tropical location winter weekend getaway. come frozen north central us. trying think of warm clime, on coast, similar feel. lahaina maui close far fly 3 day weekend. atlantic city little big , frozen, too. key west? got suggestions? consider out of country close, bahamas, virgin islands or bermuda don't know if fit.
