Whats the best way to put together family oral history?
mom's eldest sister found family bible (it has survived 3 house fires , intact!) , sent me. turns out grandparents weren't great @ filling info out stashed kinds of prayer cards, notices, photos, , other goodies in it. inside found paper mother's brother wrote in college our family tree. conducted various interviews (and document searches) relatives in 1960's still living. uncle didn't remember doing paper until called him & asked it.
shared few relatives & started getting gaps filled in orally elderly relatives via phone calls/letters. made notes on phone calls. of information have given me fascinating!
cohesive way put of oral history (old + new)? or should kept separate?
thinking maybe write out uncle did , footnote everything?
