first thing want both take full length practice test see approximately scores are. link sat's prac test below in source box.

once have scores, see test went better you. prep 1 either on own, taking class, or getting tutor (depending on practice test score) , try real 1 fall/winter of junior year. if scores still arent want, move higher level of prep , try again in mid-late spring.
