I'm 50; what is the best way to invest $5000 for retirement & save for travel next year?


have begun researching iras , roth iras not sure financial products add grow money substantially (and safely) until retire. i'm not sure of 2 better - or other options available. regarding 2 iras, confused income tax advantages/disadvantages of each. have no debt , save travel within 1 year , after retirement, need access of money. plan make monthly contributions account accrue substantial interest not sure account/product(s) might be. have 403(b) did not invest aggressively when younger. given this, changes might make 403(b)? advice on how make lost time appreciated. plan speak financial adviser @ least working knowledge before contact one. help.
