Why does everyone think their music is the best?


there's group devoted particular genre (classical snobs, 70's/80's rock snobs, progheads, metalheads, etc.) goes on how genre "real music" , refuses expose else because it's inferior or weird. question boils down "why snobs snobbish?"

rules:
1. cannot answer question saying how open other genres. don't care. you're not part of problem.
2. cannot answer question asking me why bothers me.
3. if snob, don't leave. answer why genre "best." i'm curious.
