I want to learn how to sing pop songs and learn music by ear and piano so will i have to learn classical music?

singing pop songs, don't think need perfect pitch. relative pitch work too, far i'm concerned, long don't care key it's in. emphasis on key part. that, need @ least reference note or perfect pitch. don't have perfect pitch can go , play whatever song feel on clarinet. piano....actually learning songs.......nope, not gonna happen without excessive practice. it's different piano because on top of having 2 staffs, have chords too, plus lot more. it's better learn how play , sheet music trying play ear.

edit: planning on doing hobby? if are, i'd it's near impossible without lot of proper time , effort put it. yes, need learn how read music, @ least/ it's basics of basics. however, playing piano music ear....there few people know (and none i've met) can that, , they're people have put many hours of practice in. vocals, singing ear require learn relative pitch.
