What is the point in doing this for surgery?


im curious. had surgery today , operation had avoid food , drink. 1 of first in time had toast had been 12 hours since had eaten, 6 since had drank! woman opposite me still hadn't gone in surgery time left (i had day surgery) left 6 hours after arrived. necessary starve long 15 minute surgery? why have it? , if diabetic?
quickly, little dot on hand iv needle has started swell, normal, hasn't happened when i've had surgery before!

I'm starting to collect records. What should I store them in?

i've started collecting vinyl records. have 40 right asked more christmas. want shelf or can put them on.
