Why is Greek's economy so bad?


if @ total debt, u.s. more on debt greece, strangely enough, doing fine current economy, opposed countries spain or greece.

i'm curious why that's case, if more on debt nations combined. know u.s. has lot of problems right fiscal cliff, @ least people can eat food, , buy stuff in market. can explain in depth why u.s. still surviving, unlike countries in europe?
