When a plane crashes into the ocean what next?
sake of giving simple answer, let's "assume" survived , not go details of break of plane, location of wreckage.
1.) if sole survivor, chances you'd injured).
2.) have life jacket on. wouldn't deflate.
3.) aircraft would've come off radars when crashed/the pilots have called mayday, nearest coastguards scrambled find plane.
4.) time you'd survive based on in pacific are, season , time. warmest pacific can 22c, coldest, -7c. lets assume sea 15c, you'd survive couple of hours.
5.) longer you're in ocean, colder get, more die of hypothermia. gets darker, outside temperature drops, , sea temperature. wouldn't survive long night...
6.) longer you're left, more in risk dying of injuries and/or hypothermia or being dragged current, you'd want hold on big pieces of plane stop floating away.
basically, you'd survive because of point no. 3. coastguards scrambled, helicopters , boats, found within 5 hours max.
for example, on plane , crashed middle of pacific ocean, , i'm 1 alive, floating life jacket. happen next, die, find me before die? how long life jacket last before deflates?
