Why won't my canaries sing?


got 2 canaries (consort glosters believe) male 2 years old , female 1 years old xmas dad , both in lovely cage facing sea , have natural sunlight i've had them 3 days , on first day male started singing bit hasn't since, wondering if should in same cage have need , i've bought them treats (honey stick) seem love!! want him sing again sounds beautiful advice?
