17th Birthday party? Help!?


i'm turning 17 in 2 months , i'm planning have house party. usual; booze, music, works.

before of start bashing on me, legal in uk person on 16 drink in house if haven't bought alchohol themselves.

i'm @ new college, i've met lot of new people , made loads of new friends, keeping in touch old friends. want invite around 40 people , want night.

wanna impress people know can have tips on how throw party? 8pm 1am.

parents, going local pub , won't come till around 1am won't around avoids awkwardness.

yeah. want tips on how keep party going, avoid boredom , overall tips on how host , make party amazing! i've never hosted proper house party before :)
