prelude of silence

birds aren't chirping
though they're sitting on eggs,
waiting me uncover cage.

dogs have been fed though
they've gone bed,
waiting pa awake.

tv off, flat, black screen
empty small red light's glow,
waiting football games begin.

sit in lovely morning silence
hear own thoughts,
waiting life begin.
