Does a transformer act as an inductor at the same time while in use?


build band pass filter wondering if 1 of inductors in filter can act transformer @ same time. i'm assuming not since sending magnetic energy secondary rather primary. can confirm me please? also, if doesn't act inductor okay put in parallel filter? or put in series? put lol?
