Does the us/ canadian border close?

generally, border doesn't close. not 2 trillion worth of goods moving & forth each year.

of smaller ports close. meaning remote ones little traffic.

washington, pacific highway & douglas open 24/7 aldergrove closes @ midnight.

i assume border close , have regular hours.. if so, know hours are? plan on entering through washington.
