first understand women sexually receptive year round. that's opposed "once year few weeks" that's case. tended keep males hanging around.

women bear limited number of children. @ risk of life , committed caring child on period of years. put simply, weaning child did not stop requirement care. again that's opposed cases offspring born, stood immediately, , when weaned took off.

while males impregnate many females, had vested interest in having genetic heritage passed on. fathering many children did this. instead stayed female , raised child. best way sure genes passed on. incidentally coincided time females needed support raise child.

males tended hang around , support female. no doubt males didn't got short shift rest of females , tribe. behavior did not tribe.

when primitive males impregnated female, did stick around raise child, or stay pregnancy? or did go off other girls pregnant?
