Can I fix my USB port?


got new ipod nano yesterday, , when plugged laptop, didn't pop in device manager or itunes @ all. realized nothing plug laptop recognized through usb. sd card slot works fine. have idea of how or why happening, , how can fix it? (i realize might physically broken, looks , feels it's not.)
