Surround sound system?

wattage not makes surround system or bad. person said, depends on quality of sound. if sound bad doesn't matter how high turn up. on contrary, if sound rich , don't have turn way awesome experience because flood space , flow around. result hooking bad receiver high quality speakers, or hooking bad speakers receiver. simpler way of explaining this:

radio may have volume control knob can crank 0 (no sound) 100w (very loud sound). , may find decent sound out of if keep volume somewhere between 20w , 50w. but, crank 60 or higher notice sound begins more distorted (the treble screeches , hisses, midrange either muffles or disappears, bass more vibration sound, , speakers sound they're ready bust sound pretty bad. quality sound system should able crank volume way , good, clean, clear, vibrant sound nice booming bass.

since you're getting free go , see happens. home theater systems can customized should able modify settings own preferences. keep in mind 5.1 not 5 pieces. 5 speakers , sub woofer. need 6 pieces true 5.1 surround sound setup. need 2 front speakers, center, 2 rears, , powered sub woofer bass.

sure "ross" , not "koss". koss used make surround sound systems years ago don't think anymore. if koss more along lower end among home theater systems. system analog, ok if you're not fussy type. if true hd, 3d, , real hi fi sound may not happy since doesn't have hdmi , other such capabilities. if tv recent model , have hdmi setup may not want go analog. may still sound , great. don't spend money trying outfit new stuff. far more worth while buy new system yourself.

i wondering 400w system pretty , fall in low end or middle end far sound goes. never had 1 before given 1 free because friend upgrading. think 5.1 5 piece ross surround sound. thanks
