well, i'm no physics major, copper excellent electrical conductor , better gold. metal better silver. use gold plated contacts because won't corrode, not because it's superior conductor.
in fact, copper better gold. annealed copper beats gold... 141%! pure copper 145% better.
gold closer aluminum copper.
