I have approximately $3100. Should I invest it?


stated, have little on $3000 saved up. i'm in college , debt free. want invest money in credit union uses compound interest interests incredibly low (i'm hoping around 12%). i'm interested in investing money in mutual fund (such vangaurd) don't know if use compound interest, , if do, how high it? also, how cost use vangaurd or other big mutual fund company? don't know investing except basic, i'm scared i'll taken advantage of , lose money.
