What are some positive and negative impacts on agriculture?

positive impacts:
1. provides sufficient , nutritious food people

2. agriculture foundation of human civilizations , has allowed humans expand population, settle down permanently, , humans diverse , specialize other work areas.

3. agriculture has led more complex societies in terms of culture, economy, , information.

4. agriculture largest provider of jobs in world. on 1 billion people directly involved in agriculture, in developing countries.

negative impacts:
1. causes biodiversity losses through opening of new lands via deforestation. agriculture have caused loss in gene pool/bank , purity.

2. forestry, agriculture contributes 30% of ghg (greenhouse gases) emission in world, in particular via no2 emissions n fertilizers, ch4 emissions livestock , rice fields, , co2 emissions burning (from fossil fuels , deforestation) , manure handling.

3. causes soil , water pollution excessive , incorrect application of agrochemicals (e.g., fertilizers , pesticides)

4. agriculture sector largest consumer of water. 85% of world's freshwater consumed agriculture sector @ rate of 280 million liters of water per second. agriculture in parts of world has caused over-withdrawal of water rivers , groundwater.

5. agriculture have caused people expand population rapidly , indirectly caused excessive , unsustainable consumption of natural resources. agriculture have caused people congregate in area, making easier disease epidermic , pestilence.
