Which is a faster computer one with (1)Cpu with 2.4Ghz or (2) CPU with 1.8Ghz?


measuring speed ghz hasn't been effective method while now. older amd cpus named match speed of intel cpus ran @ slower clock speed, performed @ similar benchmark performance. modern cpus, need @ benchmark. you'll want consider type of application plan run. if application can take advantage of multiple cores/cpus, going dual (or higher number core) cpu , splitting workload.

if cpus of same design (same family of chip), higher clockspeed cpu faster. if looking @ different family of cpu chips though, can't rely on clock speed determine faster.
