How to convince my mom to let me start acting now?

excel locally , show mom you're serious acting , not in try famous or something.

audition local shows @ school , community theater. don't complain size of role or rehersals - best can @ role. take acting classes - vocal lessons , dance classes fun too. compete in acting divisions of speech/drama forensic competitions. read alot plays , scripts, keeping eye out characters , monologues love , want develop. if it's ok parents, contact local film schools/programs , ask them how find actors student films. check out website local film commission , see what's happening there. perform them friends , family. friends , put on improv shows, talent shows or other performances. make own movies or webseries. have fun learning , growing actor. , keep grades @ school while this.

type of things helpful in few ways. if you're going acting famous or popular or attention or things - you're going disappoined , parents right have wait. if love acting - doing things let particpate in love , learn , grow actor. prepare career later. they'll show parents you're serious acting, , maybe they'll start investigate helping more.
