How to improve my violin skills?


1. don't cheap out on teacher. take lessons plays in professional orchestra if can. able teach how read music , develop technique better book or internet source could.

2. listen lot of classical music. internalize music sounds like, , understand "sucks" playing, rather knowing sucks. also, listening great intonation consistentlytly develop ear. you'll never sound without developed ear.

3. play time! means regularly play everyday. don't skip days. play @ different times of day (morning, afternoon, night) if 20 or 30 minutes @ time. become comfortable instrument. after playing cello 11 years, it's amazing how awkward feels play after taking week vacation , not being able play. want have instrument feel extension of voice; part of you, rather playing violin.

ok i've been playing violin 2 months now... (i suck)
i'm taking lessons im wondering if guys have tips me better , sites can use? reading sheet music confuses me...

I'm starting to collect records. What should I store them in?

i've started collecting vinyl records. have 40 right asked more christmas. want shelf or can put them on.
