What is my macaw doing?


rescued 20 year old blue , gold macaw poor , unsanitary living situation on christmas eve, last few days when have been going pet him has started rubbing beak against hand , fingers , started regurgitating food little bit on hand in pieces or little in liquid form...as gross, let him because alot better him trying bite me or lunge @ me. why doing this? way of him showing affection? also, lets me pet him , touch him during day when bf @ work , talks me day bf gets home, roles switch , gets nippy me , lets bf touch him , talks him instead....why? jealous of bf? or trying let both of handle him , take care of him can't @ same time?
