Why aren't my turtles laying eggs?

cal king on right track, usual. if want turtles breed, have them brumate (like hibernation) , have control lighting. in fall, gradually decrease amount of light days shorter. in spring, start come out of brumation, day-length should getting longer.

want insure have easy access large container of barely-damp sand or potting soil. otherwise, may start laying eggs in water, drown.

start controlling apparent day-length next fall.

i'm assuming that, if can tell sexes, large enough breed. usually, means shell length of 5" males , 6-7" females. however, "at least" makes me wonder. might have 4 males.

i have 4 red-eared slider turtles , have @ least 1 male , 1 female; had them several years not 1 egg
