My pickup doesn't fit in my guitar?

have no idea resale value of tanglewood guitar. know if chop hole in body fit in p-90 pickup destroy value of guitar. need plunge router enlarge cavity,ie, make wider. have gap along top , bottom edge. if care how guitar looks, forget idea. have experience , tools needed make modification? if not, question moot. have see idiots took chisel enlarge pickup cavity. thereby turning otherwise nice guitar parts guitar.

if gutiar cut accept humbucker sized pickup , want sound of p-90, why not buy 1 of humbucker sized p-90s. seymour duncan makes them. others. gfs makes inexpensive ones.
