Sciatica or herniated disk- extreme pain, please help?

hello,
27, , 28 next month. diagnosed herniated disk in t-spine 2 years ago while neurologist running tests try find out cause of major migraines. has been treating me since then, both migraines , disk problem. migraines have gotten better, still come every often. , herniated disk bothers me time time.

however- past maybe 3 weeks now, i've had pain that's gotten gradually more , more severe in lower , has spread way down right leg. @ times painful can hardly stand, worst pain being lower down right knee. , it's on 1 side. after 2 weeks of being in such pain, , no sign of improvement, worsening of symptoms, made emergency appointment neurologist. still had few painkillers left (percociet) weren't putting slight dent in pain.

saw doctor next morning, , recommended getting cortisone shots directly spine, suspects herniated disk in lumbar spine. ordered mri, put me on low dose of morphine, oral steroids, , wanted me test nerve damage stick needles me. no. cortisone shots no. (he did 2 of them once @ base of neck migraines , did greater harm good.)

appointment took place last wednesday. (a week ago today.) pain has continued worse... ended in er on sunday evening because bad couldn't walk. gave me 2 im injections- 1 of higher dose of morphine , 1 of prednisone. shots extremely painful. have hardly muscle. arm still sore , i've got huge bruise. :( *sigh*

yesterday, went mri. tech did said if have going on hip or leg, won't show on there... mri show spine. know if correct? or know else going on? leaving on vacation of lifetime (a 9 day cruise caribbean family in deluxe suite) on new years eve... , want able enjoy fullest. please, or suggestions or feedback appreciated. (and have appointment on january 10th orthopedist... soonest appointment one. i'm thinking @ point neurologist not best kind of doctor dealing kind of problem.) now, i'm on bed rest, using heating pad, taking 50mgs of prednisone daily , 4mgs of morphine every 4 hours. not relief @ all.
