others have answered question well. i'd add it. lets @ perspective. lets @ itunes. think number of songs bought itunes every day.who money go towards? yes, of apple, majority goes artists create them. itunes, apple brings artists under 1 roof. if take kanye west example. see similar artists when search him. in turn has domino affect. people may never have been seen before are. talking on small scale here, effects huge. artists have greater demand, , perform gigs. demand gigs goes up, more people employed , in turn helps economy.

think fact many people own ipods. why? love listening music/playing games. pleasure people listening thier music or paying games helps economy, makes people more productive , therefore total output of economy increases. there many more reasons, happy list. message me.
