How long will it take to drive from California to New York?

country vast , of isn't interesting. driving way cross country waste of time here. there absolutely nothing empty space in great plains , take @ least day cross car.

concentrate on california , west coast, drive las vegas and/or denver , fly new york , east coast there. there see in state of california beaches mountains deserts. lots of amusement parks, attractions, national parks, , places see before die. if want flavor of us, california has all. can spend many years here , not see everything.

head san diego , see best zoo in world. can take train to/from l.a. surf line route has been voted 1 of scenic rail routes in country. runs along coast tracks yards pacific ocean. train stops in anaheim, minutes disneyland.

start in san diego - it's must see , there tons of things do. after few days, take train la or disneyland. head central coast car on 101 past santa barbara. go san simeon , spend night. next morning, tour hearst castle. after lunch, continue coast on ca 1 big sur , monterey peninsula. stay night , next day visit monterey bay aquarium ride along 17 mile drive in carmel. there, head sf. if have time, go yosemite. if feel adventurous, drive las vegas. you''ll cross yosemite along ca route 120. takes east entrance lee vining near mono lake. lake in caldera of extinct volcano. ca 120 crosses tioga pass, highest vehicle pass in ca. climb thousands of feet on mountain road , reach alpine meadows of yosemite. ca 120 take 395 ca 58 i-15 las vegas. spend day or 2 in vegas (you can midweek room on strip $40), , head canyon country of southern utah. morning (dawn) start las vegas, head north on i-15 st. george, ut , turn off there zion national park , bryce canyon. you'll @ zion 11 , spend couple of hours touring canyons of park. head bryce canyon. if time right can see sundown on hoodos (very impressive). there can head arches national park, monument valley , denver.
