crisp, cold fall flakes magnets
tongues of children
layered in clothing, noses , cheeks
blushing, fearing ears crack , fall
forgetting when first snow ball tossed
retaliation sought, laughing.
later truce, combining final efforts
exhausted, roll , clumsily put place
life formed, brings twigs arms
offers carrot bitten tip.
still another, cats eye marbles lips
, done, last of
eyes, , they, creators dance
if pagans chanting, "come alive, come alive"
in time, warming sun god melt
, become shadow of youthful dreams
