Cannot remove ignition key 2006 PT Cruiser GT?


nephew has 2006 pt cruiser gt. several days ago, turned ignition off, key not go lock position - key cannot removed. ignition cylinder not return lock position. ideas? trying if possible avoid taking car dealer if can fix himself. thank in advance advice.
