What is the similarity beetween ironn and steel?

steel iron "alloy" contains between 0.2 percent , 2.0% carbon. modern steels contain 0.5% - 1% manganese well. (though technically manganese doesn't need present considered steel.)

above 2.1% called "cast iron." cast iron brittle, has lower melting point steel.

below 0.2% percent carbon considered "commercially pure" iron. pure iron soft , malleable copper, has low strength. adding small amounts of carbon increases it's strength dramatically.

i wanna know similarities between iron , steel
