Why do people randomly smile at strangers for no apparent reason?


went mall , woman smiled @ me no reason looked @ stuff in store. when looked on in direction smiled @ me again. kind of creepy. it's confusing when people because expect people know why they're smiling smiling reason don't know. don't know if they're flirting, being nice, being creep, have mental illness, or other reason. can't read mind.
