first of all, gcse results sixth form , college , universities or jobs apply @ highest qualifications. briefly check gcses check passed english , maths. if @ gcses @ grade not subject. example if took 'health , social care' option because wanted become social worker , ended getting d because found boring. chose art because enjoy , got a* a* better! case no matter profession you're aiming for. therefore, should take subjects enjoy. many people make mistake of "i'll chose subject because i'll need future job" , end hating subject.

therefore, don't worried choosing subjects have no relation social worker profession because not going close doors. that's why let choose different options @ a-level. schools don't expect make perfect choices @ gcse long grades (5 a* - c), nobody cares subjects choose. example, if chose history @ gcse, doesn't mean going historian, means interested in history , think have motivation succeed in history exams. doesn't mean going history a-level. can take didn't take @ gcse a-level. people don't take geography @ gcse go on a* in geography a-level.

if gcses threatening career choices later on in life, government not allow gcses exist because don't let 13-14 year olds make life-changing decisions - proof gcses not important. also, if needed health , social care gcse level option schools have provide because requirement. no schools near me offer it!
